Nov. 7, 2015, Ottawa, ON - We’ve all come to understand that a strong diet plays a pivotal role in leading a happier, healthier life. But do we really know why?
Enter, the microbe. Tiny germ cells that account for up to 90% of the human body. These microbes live in and around our human bodies, helping us to direct an appropriate daily functioning. (How I wish these were somehow related to the Star Wars midi-chlorians) . So, just how far have we come in understanding their true relevance towards maintaining proper health?
Microbes, in their influence, extend their services by aiding the body in eliciting a proper metabolic rate; helping us to prevent and combat both viruses and diseases; as well as leave us feeling emotionally happier, healthier and stronger when they are cared for correctly. Perhaps the true root-cause in maintaining a happy, healthy lifestyle for the body lies not so much in what we consume on a caloric or nutritional level, but in how happy what we consume makes our microbes feel. Happy microbes, happy life.
So, here’s to you, microbes. From the microcosm, to the macrocosm and beyond!
*(Check out the video below for a better understanding of the importance in maintaining a happy, healthy microbial system - existing within and around our own internal and external ecology.)
